Congratulations Afridi for 300.

There are a thousands of blogs about cricket and may of them are worth reading.
Although i am not a very big fan of cricket, but i do like to kill time via cricket.
So i would definitely like to congratulate Shahid Afridi for completing the milestone of 300 wicket.

Dont get boared so soon i am coming to the real point for this post.
To talk of Afridi's bowling, he is definitely not a great talented bowler, many 0f you will agree with me on that. So even without much talent HOW has he managed to fetch 300 wickets when so many talented bowlers haven't been able to achive the milestone.
The answer that i may give could have been: "There are no good bowlers left in Pakistan all have been recruited by Al-Quaida" -- but 'i am not drunk today' my dear friends :).

The answer is simple he uses his wits to overcome the shortcomings in his talent as a bowler.
Being in Paki cricket team, he gets a chance to try a hand at the bowl and he uses it effectively.
By adapting to situations, by varying the length, the pace and the width. Plus he is intelligent and has a attacking mentality.

In the 1st ball of the over he made a false appeal and then used the Umpire review system for a appeal that could never have been OUT. Obviously it was done to create pressure on Sangakara. Sangakara gave in to this pressure and played a silly shot. Afridi hence compelted his 300 th wicket and fetched Pak a win against Sri-Lanka.
